A very special night, it's Christmas
Let the choir sing the story of the king
That first night in old Bethlehem

When Mary found the inn had no room left within
She made her bed inside the stable
And when the child was born in the wee hours of the morn
The manger was his only cradle

In this humble place, they passed the night away
With the king of kings, lying in the hay
They kept him warm until the break of day
And say the shepherds come

O Holy night, the stars are shining bright
A very special night, it's Christmas
Let the choir sing the story of the king
That first night in old Bethlehem

On the first Noel, the angel came to tell
The shepherds in the fields there dwelling
They watched their flock by night and saw a heavenly light
As the angel appeared to them and said.

Fear not I have good news, great joy to you I bring
For unto you is born a savior
And you will know it’s he when you find Christ the King
A babe wrapped and lying in a manger.

Then a multitude of the heavenly host
Sang Glory to God and peace on earth.
The shepherds saw the light, and heard the tidings told
And went away the child to behold

Just as the angel said, with a manger for his bed
They saw the holy child with Mary
They told it far and wide, the wonders they had seen
That led them that night to the king.
